My name is Maciej Sobczak, I am a software engineer.

Over the last 10 years I have successfully helped others make better software.

In fact, I have discovered many effective ways to do so and I am proud of having done all of the following:

• publishing articles in professional journals (C/C++ Users Journal, Dr. Dobb's Journal, Software Developer's Journal) - a number of my independent articles is available on this website as well,
• working on open-source projects - both as an individual developer and as a team leader,
• writing a book,
• recording video tutorials,
• helping as a consultant with other people's work,
• mentoring less experienced developers on public discussion forums.

I strongly believe in the disciplined approach to engineering and strive to adapt the quality principles that are best described by the "Correctness by Construction" mindset. These principles try to ensure that high quality is inherently and consistently achieved from the early stages of any engineering effort instead of being added as an afterthought. I have successfully applied these principles in demanding real-life projects.

I also endorse the idea of providing ultimate value to users by open and transparent engineering processes.
