Programming Distributed Systems with YAMI4

1.4 Who Should Read This Book

This book is addressed mainly to designers, developers and integrators of distributed systems.

Even though YAMI4 was created as a response to experiences gathered with large-scale distributed control systems, its technical features can make it a good candidate in all other types of distributed systems that rely on high-quality message delivery solutions.

This book is intended to be a complete reference for the YAMI4 libraries and a tutorial-style presentation of all YAMI4 features. Several complete examples are covered later on and some real-life use-cases are also discussed to provide a wide coverage of the principles and practices of building distributed systems with YAMI4.

This book is not intended to be an API reference - the generated documentation for each supported programming language that is part of the source distribution will serve that purpose better.
